What is Deformity?
Deformity means any kind deviation from normal either physical / physiological / functional. Deformity in the orthopaedics may present since birth or may be results from trauma (physeal Injury), Infection, tumor etc.

Can we diagnose deformity in mother womb / before child birth?
Yes, currently available diagnostic tool like ante natal ISG, we can detect deformities early even before child birth.
Should we terminate pregnancy if my baby diagnosed with deformity?
No, Majority of deformity like clubfoot / DDH (Dislocated Hip Joint) etc are well managed deformity after birth and parents should not take such radical decision before consulting your treating doctors.
If I know that my child is having clubfoot or DDH then from when should I start Deformity Correction treatment?
Treatment of deformity should be started as soon as possible from early life of child. Like clubfoot or CTEV early treatment gives better results.
